Brief Update - Manuscript Nearly Finished

Happy New Year!

Hope everyone is well! This is going to be a fairly brief update, but the very short version is we're nearly finished. As mentioned in the last update, the art for the Venture Maidens Campaign Guide is completely done, and we're about halfway through the last chapter of the manuscript (expecting to have it to the copy editing team by end of January).

We are still on track for the updated schedule of PDF in April, with October delivery of the prints and boxes. We'll keep everyone apprised of any updates to this revised schedule, and thank you very much for the patience!

December Update - Art Galore!

December is upon us, and before the maidens and the 2CGaming team bundle off for PAX Unplugged, 2021, we'd love to share with you the progress on the Venture Maidens Campaign Guide with special focus on some of the *wonderful* art we've received for the project!

But First, Schedules

Briefly, first, let's touch on overall progress, writing, and schedules. It's been a lot of work doing the world of Venture Maidens justice - just tough to get everything on the page, even with the help of others from the design team - and we're going to need to push the project back another couple of months to an April, 2022 delivery for the PDF, with an October, 2022 delivery for the prints (barring any complications with COVID, of course). We're so sorry for the delays, but we are absolutely committed to the highest quality project we can develop, and are working diligently to make it so!

Let's Get Into the Art

With that, we promised we'd share some of the amazing art (already fully complete) from one of our newest, favoritest contract artists, Adrián Ibarra Lugo. We were fortunate enough to start work with Adrián during the Venture Maidens project, and have continued to work together on every project since! The level of detail in these pieces is incredible, and Adrián goes the extra mile on each and every piece.

We're hoping to be through the full manuscript by the next update! After this, it'll be copy editing, revisions, proofreading and that April 2022 date mentioned above for PDF delivery. Of course, we'll keep everyone appraised of any changes as we know them!

October Update - Art Complete! Digital Release Schedule Update

Let's get into the update for October - apologies for getting this out a couple of days late!

Art for the Venture Maidens Campaign Guide is complete!

Thanks to the diligent efforts of the art team, both internal and contracted, the art for the Venture Maidens Campaign Guide is complete, and ready to go to formatting. We wanted to call out specifically a new artist we had the opportunity to work with on this project, Aleta Perez, who created the "Frame" pieces for the Venture Maidens project - showing many of the locations in the setting:

Writing for the project is slightly delayed, but rest assured we're making solid progress - we're expecting to have the manuscript to the editing and formatting phase before PAX Unplugged, 2021 - where the Venture Maidens Team and 2CGaming Team will be at the 2CG Booth! If you're coming to PAX Unplugged, swing by and say hi!

Digital Venture Maidens Campaign Guide: We are currently looking at a February, 2022 release for this project - one month behind schedule, as we commonly see a month for proofreading, and a month for formatting before we can get the Digital versions out. If we find some extra time and speed between now and then, of course we'll get it to you faster!

Print Venture Maidens Campaign Guide: As we're excepting the digital version to run a month late, the same should hold for the prints. However, we'll have to see if there are any additional concerns associated with international shipping. There are significant global shipping concerns at the moment, and we may find this project caught up in them, should they persist through early next year. We'll keep you appraised of concrete dates as we have them!

September Update - Writing & Art Continue!

We're back with a quick update for the month of September! We're spinning through writing and design, getting the world of Venture Maidens to virtual paper, and screaming through art with some wondrous updates we'll be able to share in our October update. From project metrics, things remain on-track and looking good!

Also of note (and so sorry we didn't share this earlier!) we've received the Pin of Fate pins and are *very* pleased with how they've turned out! These are going to be a great addition to the project:

Happy August - Campaign 2 Launch!

Hey, backers! Chiming in to let you know that Venture Maidens has officially launched Campaign 2, so now you can experience the elements of the Venture Maidens Campaign Guide in action! For those not familiar with our story, Venture Maidens began more than five years ago as a group of friends getting together to produce a 5th Edition actual-play livestream and podcast. Launching this Kickstarter coincided with the end of that 5-year campaign, and now we are beginning a new story that uses all the elements we are publishing in our campaign guide.

This means you can tune into our livestreams, watch our uploaded videos, or listen to our game recordings to see the setting, character options, heroic destinies, monsters, and MORE from the book in use during a live D&D game. And even better, now is the perfect time to hop on the Venture train since we’ve started a brand-new adventure. You don’t need to know anything about our first campaign to enjoy this new tale.
